Academic Writing
Support Sessions
We will be hosting two academic writing support sessions every week. Wednesdays will be in-person located on the 3rd floor library GC 311 and Thursdays which will be hosted online via Zoom. They will run at 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM on both days. Writing Support sessions will discuss tips on how effectively use English in academic writing contexts, help students to complete their writing assignments and teach techniques students can use in their academic and personal life.
In-person – Wednesdays | Library GC 311 |
Online – Thursdays | Click here to join the Zoom link |
The objective of these sessions are to provide students who are taking COMM 1016, COMM 2017, and GENED courses that need additional support in essay writing, specifically persuasive essay structure, enhancing their presentation skills, and APA citations. The idea of these sessions are to help students deepen their writing skills and to be able to apply and practice what they have learned.
Each week the session will focus on the general topic the students are learning about in their course. The content will therefore be current and relevant to help assist them with any ongoing assignments or essays they are completing for the actual course.
