co-op and career services

Georgian@ILAC Co-op and Career Services (CCS) are here to support prospective students, current students, and graduates/alumni. Students can access CCS through workshops, class visits, and 1:1 or small group appointments.

Workshops

Workshops have been designed using employer feedback and industry knowledge to ensure that Georgian@ILAC students receive up to date information, knowledge, and advice.

Whether attending a workshop or meeting CCS staff in private, students have the support and guidance available to ensure that they are “job/career ready” by the time they complete their studies.

What topics will the workshops and appointments cover?

Workshop details can be found by checking the Events page on the website, and by following Georgian@ILAC on LinkedIn and Instagram.

Resume Checklist

Canadian employers request a resume (commonly referred to as a ‘curriculum vitae’ around the world) formatted in a way that hiring managers and recruiters required.

Please find a resume checklist below to help you prepare your first draft of a Canadian format resume. Once you have made your first resume, students can meet with Co-op and Career Services in person or upload to your LMS to obtain feedback. A Canadian style resume is required for volunteering, part-time, and full-timer roles.”
