2-year Business Diploma program is now accredited by CIM

The National Committee for Management Accreditation (NCMA) recognised that the Georgian@ILAC program provides the core elements of management education, necessary to prepare graduates for management roles.

As a result, students in the BUSN program will now qualify for the “Certified in Management” designation upon graduation and completion of the Management Aptitude Evaluation (MAE). When combined with four years of professional-level management experience, students will meet the requirements for the Chartered Manager (C.Mgr) designation.

Successful candidates may also choose to obtain designations under reciprocal arrangements with the Institute of Certified Professional Managers in the US, and the UK Chartered Management Institute.

Dr. Chris Anstead, Dean of GILAC commented “We are very happy to see this recognition from CIM | Chartered Managers Canada.  The NCMA clearly felt that our program produces graduates who are qualified for exciting roles in any organization. We are proud to be recognized by an association with such a long history of dedication to the management profession.”

Certification also provides other benefits.  Georgian@ILAC students will be able to take advantage of free student Associate Membership to explore the many benefits that the association provides.

Dr. Matthew Jelavic, CEO of CIM | Chartered Managers Canada explained that “Associate Membership allows students to join a close-knit but open community of engaged individuals.  In addition to a wide variety of member benefits, students will be introduced to the Canadian and global networks of management professionals.”
